choosing surfing accommodation in europe or morocco
Surfing holidays rely on having the best waves possible,
but there is much more to it than that. Choosing the right
accommodation for your needs can make a good holiday into
a great one. Whether you choose something basic, or luxurious,
there are a great range of holiday options available.
The Algarve in Portugal offers amongst other types of accommodation, a range of cheap accommodation, which is within easy reach of the beach and is also within the heart of the surfing community. It has supermarkets, restaurants and bars, and is suitable for groups, families, or independent surfers. The rooms are basic, but clean in Sargres, Carrapateira and Lagos, but they are within reach of some of the best surfing in Europe. The Sagres Surf School offers tuition, and there are guided tours to some of the best spots. The waves can be average to epic, but you are guaranteed to experience the full excitement of life as a surfer.
At the Surfcamp in Rodiles in Spain, the camp has been designed for surfers by a surfer. Lying within the beautiful location of the Ria de Villaviciosa nature reserve, the Surfcamp offers bunk bed accommodation for up to ten people in comfortable accommodation. The rooms are equipped with bathrooms, spacious lounges, and TV and DVD. The camp also has its own music workshop. Live shows and fiestas are regularly held in the local bars. Greta surfboarding conditions make this an ideal surfer`s holiday destination.
At Corallejo in the Canary Isles, the climate is ideal all year round for kitesurfers, windsurfers and surfers. Warm waters, constant wind and a subtropical climate, make this destination ideal the whole year round. It is ideal for beginners or more advanced surfers. The Surfcamp at Corralejo offers a wide range of accommodation for all budgets and tastes. It has a great range of facilities for surfing tuition and the lessons are given by multilingual instructors.
Why not try something different and try a mobile surf lodge. At the Byron Bay surf camp in Sydney, Australia you can take the coach trip around the legendary surf route enjoyed by surfers since the early 1960s. You can stay overnight in a lodge at several of the stop off points along the way. The lodges are great for backpackers, and ideal if all you want to do is concentrate on surfing on some of the most ideal surfing conditions in the world.
If you are looking for a bit more luxury with your surfing,
why not head to Macaronis Surf Resort in Indonesia. The resort
is situated over a lagoon, and you can get to the waves either
by speed boat, or via a two or three day cruise on a schooner,
a slightly more laid back approach. Accommodation is in family
sized straw roofed villas with an upstairs loft, and facilities
include a spa bath and satellite TV. For all your surfing
equipment needs, go to animal
